HIV Seniors
According to the Centers for Disease Control, half of people living with HIV are 50 or older. Diane Duke, Executive Director of Friends for Life, explains that this is because people with HIV are living longer, healthier lives. Chris and Diane discuss what HIV actually is and how it differs from AIDS, who is at risk, and treatment options available. Diane also tells us about how the organization Friends for Life has changed from a place that helped people with HIV/Aids die with dignity to one that provides information, community, and resources to help people live long, healthy lives.
