End of Life Decisions
Cris Hardaway discusses the topic of making uncomfortable end-of-life decisions. His guests Dr. Clay Jackson, Medical Director of Methodist Alliance Hospice; Dr. Scott Morris CEO of Church Health Center; Dr. Perry Little, Champlain Manager, Methodist Germantown Hospital; and Taleka Perry, Director of Methodist Hospice Residence give professional insight on this topic. Being able to shape the inevitable while health is optimal enables individuals to make well- thought decisions. Working through religion, the taboos of money, etc. will make “death talk” easier. Letting your loved ones know in advance of your thoughts and plans will make the process much easier on them. Looking at the matter from a different perspective can change an inescapable event to a gift of knowledge. They also look at differences and taboos between hospices and palliative care.
